Archiving Employee Data:

The 'Consult 2.0' Management Module has the facilities to permanently store employee time and expenses details in an archive database.
A typical use for this facility would be for a staff member that has left the company. Their personnel database would be static so each time you did an update (a 'refresh') you would be uploading the same data. To resolve this, load the employee's data into the archive facility and it will be permanently stored with the project database file. The employee's personnel timesheet database file is not then required (but it is recommended you maintain it as a backup).

Open the above form by selecting the 'Archive Employee Data' from the configuration section of the ''Project Database File' menu in the 'Management Module'. Click the 'Add Employee' to add an employee to the archives. This function will ask you to locate the employees database file. Once found it will check if it is usable, then upload the 'time' and 'expense' data into the archive facilities. These staff member names will then be displayed in the 'Employee Configuration' table and the data will be included in any summary reports (after a 'refresh' is completed).
Once an employee has been added to the archives, the database source file or access to it, is not required. This is un-like 'linking' an employee in the 'Employee Configuration' section of the software where permanent access to the employee's database file is required to successfully complete a 'refresh'.
