Database Security:
"Management Module" (effects "TimeSheet"
Package)
Each individual Project database can be configured to restrict employee
access to specific parts of the 'Consult' TimeSheet system. This has been done
to restrict the number of people who can change areas of the package that will
effect other users.
The default is for all users to have full access to all areas. Any changes
to these switches will not effect the access you have through the Management
Module. It is assumed a senior person will use this package so full access is
provided.
WARNING: These settings are only accessible
from within the Management Module. If changes are made during the 30 day trial
period and the Management Module is not purchased, the changes will not be
able to be reversed as the user will not be able to open the Management
Module.

To open the above form, select the 'Set Security Levels' from the
configuration section of the 'Project Database File' menu in the Management
Module.
"Allow Staff to add, edit and delete Project List" -
Removing the tick from this item will restrict all staff from adding or editing
the 'Project' list. They will still be able to view the details on the
'Projects' tab in the 'Consult 2.0' TimeSheet software.
"Allow Staff to add, edit and delete Contact List" -
Removing the tick from this item will restrict all staff from adding or editing
the 'Contact' list. They will still be able to view the details on the 'Company
Contacts' tab in the 'Consult 2.0' TimeSheet software.
"Allow Staff to edit the Work Type and Units Lists" -
Removing the tick from this item will restrict all staff from editing either the
'Work Type' or 'Units' list. The 'Work Types' list is used to classify each time
period entered and the 'Units' list is used in the 'Expenses' section.
"Allow Staff to edit the Staff Positions and Associated Business
field Names" - Removing the tick from this item will restrict all staff
from editing the 'Staff Positions' and 'Associated Business' labels. Refer to
the 'Editing Projects' section for an
explanation of the items.
To designate a single (
senior?) staff member to have full access (overriding the above settings) tick the
bottom box and select the 'Designated Users' name from the drop-down list.
The above options effect all users that access the specific Project database file
currently open. If your company runs multiple project files you will need to
repeat any changes in each database file.
