Management Module Configuration:
"Management Module"
On selecting 'System Options' from the 'File' menu of the Management Module
you are able to modify the behaviour of this package. The software configuration
is divided into sections accessible by selecting the relevant 'tab'.
'Start Up':
The 'Start Up' preferences dictate what happens when the software starts. By
ticking the 'Open Previous Database File' box you will force the last
opened project database file to be opened when you next start the software. If
you also tick the 'Load Latest TimeSheet Information' a 'refresh' will be
completed (all the currently linked employee database files will update the data
in the project file).
By selecting the 'Display the Welcome Page' the front splash screen
will be displayed for a short period while the package continues to load in the
background.

Printer Settings:
The Printer Settings 'tab' allows the user to configure the printer margins
for all reports printed from the Management Module. All dimensions entered
should be in millimetres with values between 0 and 50mm.

Registration:
Allows the user to enter and edit the registration number. See Management
Module Registration section of this help system for details.

General:
The General 'tab' allows the user to restrict the number of
months the system looks back when extracting time and expense data from each
employees personnel database. The snap-shot below shows 12 months, meaning that
only time and expenses with dates within 12 months of today will be imported
into the project database for analysis. An expense item logged 13 months ago
will be ignored.
Placing a small number here will speed up the employee data
'refresh' process but could provide a false picture of the project (in the
summary reports) if the job lasted longer than the nominated period.

The 'Purge Database' button removes all time and
expenses listings from the 'project' database tables. This does not effect the
original data stored in the employee's personnel database file.
Use this feature if you need to cleanse details of an employee
who may have left the company and you may which to remove their time and expense
details from any summary reports.
The 'Compact Database' button runs a routine that
compresses a designated database file. By doing this on a regular basis the
database file will be kept at a small size aiding access and consequently speed
of the TimeSheet and Management Module software packages.
This routine allows to you compact both the employee's database
files with the '.ctd' file extension and the project database files with the
'cpd' file extension.
