Project Status:
"TimeSheet" Package and "Management Module"
All Projects can be set to a "project status" value selected from
a predetermined list. This value is displayed on the Project tab in the
TimeSheet program and changeable by entering the 'Project Details' section of
the software (click the 'Add/Edit' button on the Projects tab).
A typical use would be to classify the status of each project so all staff
members knew the current standing of the job while working on it. A 'Project
Status' report can then be printed out listing all the projects under each
classification. This type of report could be presented at a weekly staff meeting
to show how each project is progressing.

The list of available classifications can be edited from within
the Management Module (select the 'Company Projects' menu, 'Edit Project Lists'
and 'Stage of Works' item).
This list can be extended to any length but users should take
care when editing it. This status list is 'index number' cross-referenced to the
'Project list'. This is to say, that when you change the spelling of an item
(change 'Construction' to 'Construction Works') all the projects previously
listed as 'Construction' will now come under the new 'Construction Works'
heading.
But if you delete the 'Construction' list item and add a new
item saying 'Construction Works' at the end of the list a new index number would
be created. Consequently any project with a 'Construction' status would not have
any status at all as the old index number has been deleted.
