HBrace 4.0 - Installation:
The enclosed design software has been developed to aide Architects and Engineers
in the production of House Bracing solutions that meet the requirements of NZS3604:1999.
This software package allows the user a twenty day trial period after installation.
Once this time period has expired the software will not run without the purchase of a registration key from 'Visual
Windows Software'.
This key is based on the 'Registration Number' displayed when the un-registered
version of the software is started. The registration number is randomly generated by the computer so is specific
to that computer only.
System Requirements:
- Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, or newer operating
system.
- 10 MB of storage on the harddisk.
- 486 or larger processor with a minimum of 4 MB RAM.
Installation:
- Enclosed is a self-extracting 'zip' file containing
an installation program for the HBrace 4.0 software.
- On downloading this single zipped file (HBrace4_Zip.exe), the user should execute it to expand all the enclosed
files. At one point during the unzip routine the user will be asked for the unzip path (where the files will be
dumped) - enter a temporary subdirectory (like "C:/junk") and delete it later after installation is completed.
- Finally, run the installation program called 'setup.exe' located amoungst the files just exploded. Follow the
instructions and HBrace 4.0 will cleanly install.
- The only known problem is when the user does not close all other software during the installation process (this
includes "Microsoft Office Shortcut Bar").
